Terms Of Service

Welcome to the Barrhead Animal Rescue Society website (the “Site”), located at www.barrheadanimalrescue.org. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Site, including all content, features, and services available through it. By accessing or using the Site, you (“you” or “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before using the Site. If you do not agree with these Terms, you may not access or use the Site.

1. Use of the Site:

You may use the Site for lawful purposes only and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to use the Site:

• In any way that violates any applicable federal, provincial, local, or international law or regulation.
• To impersonate or misrepresent your affiliation with BARS or any other person or entity.
• To interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Site or the servers or networks connected to the Site.
• To attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site or any other systems or networks.
• To use the Site to distribute or transmit any viruses, worms, malware, or other harmful code.

All content on the Site, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of BARS or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or display any content from the Site without the prior written consent of BARS.

3. Donations:

Donations made through the Site are subject to our Donation Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. All donations are gratefully accepted and will be used to support the mission of BARS.

4. Adoption Applications:

Submitting an adoption application through the Site does not guarantee the adoption of an animal. All adoption applications are subject to review and approval by BARS.

5. Volunteer Applications:

Submitting a volunteer application through the Site does not guarantee a volunteer position. All volunteer applications are subject to review and approval by BARS.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties:

THE SITE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. BARS DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

7. Limitation of Liability:

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BARS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OF ANY KIND ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

8. Indemnification:

You agree to indemnify and hold BARS harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Site or your breach of these Terms.

9. Governing Law:

These Terms will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta and the laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

10. Changes to these Terms:

BARS may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
