Community Help
B.A.R.S. is currently working to establish pilot community help programs for low-income families who need financial assistance with vet care. These programs are restricted to the target areas of Spruce Grove and Barrhead and are made possible by generous endowments from individuals in those target areas.
Targeted Financial Assistance for Pet Care
These programs are intended to support via subsidy the spay/neuter of companion cats and dogs owned by low-income families in our target areas in order to break the cycle of unwanted litters. These programs are not for assistance in emergency situations.
You can apply now using the button below. While we accept applications on an ongoing basis, please be aware that it may take up to one month for the BARS Board of Directors to make a decision. Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance into the program. Please check back regularly for updates.
