COMMUNITY HELP
BARS is currently working to establish pilot community help programs for low-income families who need financial assistance with vet care. These programs are restricted to the target areas of Spruce Grove and Barrhead and are made possible by generous endowments from individuals in those target areas.
These programs are intended to support via subsidy the spay/neuter of companion cats and dogs owned by low-income families in our target areas in order to break the cycle of unwanted litters. These programs are not for assistance in emergency situations.
To apply for our community help program please click the appropriate button to reach out to our Board of Directors for an application. Please note that submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance and that while applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, it may take up to one month for the BARS Board of Directors to reach a decision and reach out.
